Introduction and Characteristics
Established in 1979, the Department of Computer Engineering produced approximately 3,000 graduates who are working in domestic and foreign companies, research institutes, private academies, public companies as well as government agencies. Recently, graduates have contributed to the development of a software-oriented society through successful start-ups such as Me Today and Ani-Pang, and so on
In order to provide an education system to foster creative software talents, the department of Computer Engineering has been funded 600 million won every year for the Seoul Accord project by the Ministry of Knowledge Economy (currently the Ministry of Science, ICT and future Planning) since 2011. Through this project money has been invested in to creating Innovative curriculums, full lecture recordings, advanced equipment implementations, industry-academic cooperation and internships, overseas university student exchange programs and scholarships for outstanding students.
