Introduction and Specialization
Mechanical engineering is the fundamental study of the national industry and technological development. Mechanical engineering is commonly applied in each process of product design and manufacturing. The fields of mechanical engineering can be classified into material design, manufacturing, automation, thermal and fluid engineering, and each of these are applied in developing various mechanical components, automotive structures, manufacturing machinery design and production, production processes and automation, robotics and mechanisms, automotive, marine and aircraft, engines and propulsion systems, heating and air conditioning equipment, incinerators, and other environmental controls
The five technology recently under the spotlight with the advent of the 21st century include - Information Technology: IT, Nano Technology: NT, Biotechnology: BT, Environmental Technology: ET and Space Technology: ST. These technologies are rapidly developing and the subsequent changes in the market requires new product design and manufacturing processes, so the application range of mechanical engineering in each of the technology is extensive. The Mechanical Engineering Course studies core technology in the current industry, like materials, destruction engineering, production engineering, mechatronics, automation and robotics, automotive engineering. The objective is to educate creative and co-operative practical engineers with the ability to analyze and design, by training analyzing skills to solve engineering problems through complete understanding of mathematics and dynamics, and by training practical design and application skills through basic tools subjects like computer application, drawing, machine tools, experiments and projects
