Economics

The Department of Economics was established in 1983 and belongs to the College of Social Science since the March of 2004. The Department of Economics aims to develop students for a right understanding on economic theory through the introduction and understanding of the latest trends as the economy and society changes and systematic research on economics. Along with specialized researches on theories, the department is teaching the right perspective on the practical views of economics by Focusing on the importance of economic ethics. Through the education well-balanced between theoretical and practical senses, the department trains talents who can creatively contribute to the development of economy and the quality of human lives. The department ranked top 10% (9) universities in the evaluation index among 90 universities, conducted by Korea Council for University Education in 2003 and is Famed as the best department in the country. Based on this, continuous development is expected in the future.
