Career Opportunities after Graduation
Since physics is underlying study of science and engineering, students who specialized in physics can work in the fields of educational agency, institute, factory, etc. and be popular specially among patent offices. Graduates are asked to work in the areas of electronics, computer, information & communication, and material industry because they are well established in basic science. In other words, they are able to apply their knowledge in other fields and solve the problems creatively after combining theory with practice. Some of them get qualified with school, some work for research centers after obtaining master’s and doctor’s degree. Meanwhile, students who want to learn more in school select double majors or transfer through interdisciplinary approach. When students go on studying in graduate school, they will have a lot of favorable points
Prospects and Vision
In the physics department, students study basic subjects such as mechanics, modern physics, electromagnetism, electro physics, mathematical physics, and quantum mechanics in lower grade, and study a variety of subjects in nanotechnology and applied optics, including solid physics, atomic and nuclear physics, thermal and statistical physics, and radiation physics in higher grades. As the basic science of natural science and advanced science and technology, physics majors can be employed in educational institutions as university professors as well as science and physics teachers in secondary schools, and conduct research activities as scientists in industrial research institutes as well as government-funded research institutes. In particular, since our physics department specializes in curriculum in the fields of nanotechnology and applied optics, it is helping to advance into a variety of industries, including the semiconductor, electrical, electronics, computer, telecommunications and materials and component industries. Physics majors are welcomed in various fields of science and technology, thanks to being equipped with the ability to comprehensively and creatively solve new technological and emerging problems.
